As previously reported, the Bandarlampung Child Protection Commission has reported EW, a woman suspected of molesting her biological child, to the Bandarlampung Police, last Friday (18/2).
According to the information gathered, the woman with the initials EW has now been secured by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bandarlampung Police, on Saturday (19/2).
This was confirmed by the Head of the National Commission for Child Protection of Bandarlampung, Ahmad Apriliandi Passa. “Yes, the suspect has been detained at the Bandarlampung Police,” he said, Sunday (20/2).
Andi said that previously the National Commission for Child Protection Bandarlampung had coordinated with the Bandarlampung City Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Service to report EW.
In addition to reporting related to child abuse, they are also considering reporting EW related to the section on the Crime of Trafficking in Persons.
“Because apart from the element of child abuse, there is also an element of economic exploitation of children. That’s why we are thinking about it now,” he concluded.
